AdisInsight Reports summarize key development milestones, pharmacology, efficacy, and safety data for newly approved agents.
These reports are based on drug profile information from AdisInsight (a proprietary Springer Nature database that tracks drug development worldwide through the entire development process, from discovery, through pre-clinical and clinical studies to market launch and beyond) and are published shortly after the drug receives approval in its first indication in any market.

Springer Nature scientific editors retain full editorial control of Adis Drug Reviews. Emphasis is placed on clinically relevant, high-quality evidence.
Published clinical studies form the primary evidence base, while unpublished data and conference abstracts may be included when they provide important, robust information.
Evidence gaps and their implications are clearly highlighted.
Selection of Agents
Drugs are selected for review solely by Springer Nature scientific editorial staff.
Selection is based on scientific and clinical interest, market developments, patterns of use, and the availability of sufficient data for critical appraisal.
Publication is timed to align with reader interest and the need for an objective assessment of available evidence.
Data Collation
Reviews are based primarily on published literature identified through PUBMED, MEDLINE, EMBASE, conference abstracts, and symposia proceedings.
The drug manufacturer is approached to identify and/or provide any additional key data, including significant unpublished contributory data.
Important non-English language publications are identified and translated where appropriate.
Peer Review
All Adis Drug Reviews undergo internal editorial review and independent external peer review by therapeutic-area specialists.
During peer review, the drug manufacturer is offered an opportunity to comment on the technical accuracy of the manuscript.
Changes resulting from comments received are made on the basis of scientific and editorial merit and are at the discretion of Springer Nature scientific editorial staff.

A summary slide is included with all Adis Drug Reviews to provide a concise summary of the Review or specific important data within it. Plain language summaries, which provide a succinct, simplified overview of the Review to assist non-experts in understanding its content and overall clinical implications, are also included in some Adis Drug Reviews.
